Question: Why is Ampelite daylighting panel expressed in unit weight, and what is the difference between it and the thickness commonly referred to in China?
answer:
1. Our company produces daylighting panels in accordance with the Australian AS/NZS 4257 4:1994 standard. According to different weight standards, there are several types of daylighting panels with weights of 1800g, 2400g, 3050g, and 3660g per square meter, corresponding to thicknesses of approximately 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, and 2.5mm, respectively.
2. The Australian AS/NZS 4257 4:1994 standard specifies a permissible thickness error of ± 15% and a permissible unit weight error of ± 10%.
3. During the molding process of the daylighting board, the resin is in liquid form and will be thinner at the peak and corner due to gravity. However, it should be within the allowable error range of ± 15%. This error does not affect the quality of our daylighting board, and our product warranty commitment will not change.
