Question: What are the main applications of flame-retardant daylighting panels? What are the characteristics?

answer:

1. Flame retardant daylighting panels are mainly used in steel mills and special occasions with high temperatures, sparks, or flame retardant requirements in blast furnaces.

2. Our current flame retardant series of daylighting panels are divided into two types: first grade flame retardant (F1 grade, oxygen index ≥ 30) and second grade flame retardant (F2 grade, oxygen index ≥ 26).

3. Flame retardant daylighting panels, compared to general daylighting panels, have slightly poorer aging and yellowing resistance due to the presence of flame-retardant components in the resin material. According to testing, after one year, the first level flame-retardant daylighting board will show signs of yellowing, while the second level flame-retardant daylighting board will show slight yellowing (the second level is more prone to yellowing than the first level), and the yellowing will become more pronounced over time.

Overall, flame-retardant daylighting panels are more prone to yellowing than general daylighting panels, but it does not affect the quality. The only difference is that the transmittance will decrease with the increase of service life, and it cannot be guaranteed that the transmittance will only lose 3% -10% during the warranty period. However, yellowing does not mean the end of the lifespan of the daylighting board, and the mechanical strength and other mechanical properties of the daylighting board remain basically unchanged, which can still meet its usage requirements. Therefore, the warranty period promised by our company remains unchanged.
